Weather Radar on Mount Uzia near Eilat

Provides continuous rainfall data for Eilat and the southern Arava. Real-time monitoring supports flood warnings by tracking storm development and movement. The radar also measures rainfall in Egypt and Jordan affecting cross-border streams.

Hagihon Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Gihon Water and Sewage Company’s WWTP in the Jerusalem Mountains is a key regional facility. It treats wastewater from Jerusalem and nearby communities using advanced technologies that protect the environment and natural streams. Treated effluents support agricultural reuse and reduce impact on natural resources.
Timurim Wastewater Treatment Plant (Expansion)

A major infrastructure development strengthening the water and sewage sector in the south. Originally designed for 12,000 m³/day, the facility is expanding to 30,000 m³/day, serving cities and towns in the southern coastal plain. The project will be completed in 2028.
